About Frankaborough Lodge

When you stay in this luxurious log cabin in Devon, you can feel transported to a wooden cabin in the mountains of Canada or Nevada.   Frankaborough Lodge is a unique holiday home that took over a year to be built by talented craftsmen. Sustainably sourced Douglas Fir logs travelled the long journey from Scotland to the Devonshire countryside. With many of the logs 24 inches in diameter, there were many challenges along the way, but the end result is something magical.  Read More

Amazing and beautiful place to stay with every little detail thought of. Nothing too much effort from the owners and a great location to visit Devon and Cornwall from.

We had the most relaxing family holiday at Frankaborough Barton. The cottage was so well equipped and beautifully presented. Katie and Richard were very friendly and helpful, as were the whole family. We made good use of the hot tub and cinema room. The views were perfect and we enjoyed the frequent wildlife spotting, ducks, farm animals and the visits from the farms working and pet dogs. We would love to return one day and would highly recommend Frankaborough Barton to groups and families looking for a relaxing social break.

This lodge is amazing and set on a picturesque spot on the farm. The finish is to a very high standard and it is equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. The owners were very helpful from start to end and even gave us a tour of the farm. We all had a fantastic holiday at Frankaborough Lodge so peaceful and relaxing and the hot tub was fantastic too !

We booked the cottage over Christmas and all I can say is What a MAGICAL time we had. To start with the place is gorgeous and so well presented and decorated for Christmas. The lighting outside that lit up the spa, decking and Christmas trees was phenomenal. The SPA was so relaxing and there were so much for our 5 boys to do. It’s situated on a working dairy farm and the kids were invited and then given free rein to come any watch the milking and to stroke the new born calves. They were so sad when they had to leave them at the end of the week. The location is very rural, so some lovely walks to be done and shops, towns and villages are about 10 mins away. We were also 1 hour away from beaches to the north and south coastlines, so we made good use of beaches like Bude and Torquay. The family that ran the farm and Katie (owner) were so friendly and did everything to help us enjoy our stay as much as possible. Not a bad word to say! We intend on going back in the summer!
